Safety Guidelines for Gathering

The covid case numbers are way down in our area, many of our members are protected from the virus and are less likely to transmit it. So, we are following the guidance of our covid safety committee and gathering for worship again. GREAT! But we are aware that we still need to be cautious.
  • The delta variant which is 40 to 60% more contagious is doubling every two weeks and
  •  Many are not yet vaccinated so we are not yet at herd immunity.
  • Children and those with certain health conditions are still vulnerable.
Therefore, for now, the recommendation of our council is to continue to follow precautions such as social distancing, and limited singing. Communion distribution and social time will be done outdoors. Masks reduce transmission of the virus by about 50% so masking in the larger gatherings is strongly encouraged.
We are all weary of these restrictions but for sake of those still vulnerable we are going to be careful.
