Celebration of Life for Darlene Marte

Our dear friend Darlene Marte passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 surrounded by family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 First Street West) in Jordan. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service is Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Hope Lutheran Church (201 Hope Avenue) in Jordan. Ash Wednesday is February 26 and we will once again have our Potato Bar! Supper is at 6 p.m., worship with the placing of repentance ashes is at 6:45 p.m. Our Mission  Trip youth and their parents will be prepping, serving and cleaning up our Potato Bar Supper. A free will donation basket will be available with proceeds going to the Chicago Mission Trip.

January Convening ~ what an inspiring night!! It was great to hear from Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan, Scott County Commissioner Barb Weckman Brekke and State Representative Michael Howard. They all support the work Beacon is doing to make policy changes and the need for Prairie Pointe, Beacon's proposed Supportive Housing Unit to be built in Shakopee. Thank you so much to everyone that showed up!! There will be many more opportunities for you to show your support that EVERYONE should have a HOME!
