Our thoughts and prayers are with Shannon's family and friends as they mourn her loss and celebrate the beautiful person she was. Cloaks and Palms on Palm Sunday!

Cloaks and Palms on Palm Sunday! On Palm Sunday, we will sing Hosannas and hear the story from the Gospel of Luke of Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem. Luke 21:36 tells us “As he rode on, people spread their cloaks on the road.” This year we will spread some garments on our center aisle to honor that event in Jesus’ life. On Palm Sunday, please bring new or gently used t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and leggings of any sizes, child through adult, and spread them on our center aisle. The clothing will be donated to people in need through His House Foundation in Chaska.

Celebration of Pastor Steve’s Ministry

After 17 years of faithful service at Hope Lutheran Church, Pastor Steve Thompson has been called to serve at Faith Journey Lutheran in West Fargo. We will celebrate his ministry to Hope Lutheran on April 24th with worship at 9 am and a reception following the service. We will have cake and lots of great church coffee. All are welcome to join us to celebrate Pastor Steve's ministry and to bid him farewell.

Lenten Suppers

It is that time of year again ~ time for Lenten Suppers!! We will start things off with our Potato Bar on Ash Wednesday, which is March 2 at 6:00 pm. This is a Mission Trip Fundraiser for those youth going on the Mission Trip to Milwaukee this summer. They will help to set up, serve and clean up our meal with congregational help. Soup Suppers begin the following week and there are a few changes. *Instead of being assigned a Wednesday to help we are asking for volunteer help either by signing up to serve, clean up or bring choice of bread, milk, or cookies. Due to the severely cold weather on Saturday we have cancelled the Sledding Party. Sorry for the disappointing news!

Youth Service Night

Our youth boxed up care packages for our college students and also made blankets for the Linus Project. They had a blast!

February 2 Fellowship Event

The Fleshpots of Egypt IN CONCERT ~ here at HOPE LUTHERAN! The Fleshpots of Egypt, a Bluegrass/Rockabilly band that Pastor Steve has played with for many years, will be playing for our February concert on Wednesday, Feb. 2nd. These guys are all pastors who specialize in favorite old hymns. Rolf Jacobson, a professor of the Old Testament at Luther Seminary, will share his story of surviving cancer as a teenager. He will teach us a good way to help someone else going through something similar. ALL ARE WELCOME!! Hymn singing starts at 6:15 p.m. The concert event starts at 6:45 p.m.
