FISH Meeting, August 8

Everyone is welcome to attend FISH meetings that are held on the second Thursday of every month. The location varies, but will be somewhere within the Scott County area. FISH stands for Families and Individuals Sharing Hope, which is a network of groups partnering together to meet human needs. There are four categories of groups: Faith, Business, Service/Non-profits/, and Local Government. When registered FISH Partners encounter needs that they themselves cannot fill, they can post the need of the individual or family on the FISH Network. We're kicking off the season with a Sloppy Joe Showdown and Potluck Extravaganza, inviting everyone to showcase their best Sloppy Joe recipes in a friendly competition, the winner will be awarded a champions apron! Women’s Breakfast

Women’s Breakfast on August 17; 8:00 am at The Feed Mill Rise and shine, ladies! Our Women's Breakfast Group will meet on August 17th at The Feed Mill restaurant in Jordan. This is a monthly event that will be taking place every 3rd Saturday. We would love for you to join us and bring along any friends who might be interested in attending. It's a wonderful opportunity to catch up with other members, enjoy delicious food, and share fellowship time together.

School Supply Drive in August

School Supply Drive in August We are currently collecting school supplies for students in the Jordan school district. A purple collection container is located in the narthex at Hope. Items most needed include: Dry Storage Snacks (granola bars, popcorn, crackers, etc.), Backpacks, Reusable Water Bottles, Ear Buds, Pencil Pouches, Pencils, Single Subject Notebooks, 3-Subject Notebooks, Folders (plastic poly), Scissors, TI-30x II Calculators, Dry Erase Markers, Deodorant (travel size). Deadline for donations is September 1st.

Meals on Wheels in August

Meals on Wheels in August Hope is responsible for delivering Meals on Wheels during February, May, August, & November (Monday - Friday). A volunteer picks up meals from the Schule Haus at 11:00 a.m. and delivers them to residents in our community. You will be told the route which generally takes a little over an hour). Men’s Breakfast, August 3 at 7:30 am

The Men’s Breakfast will be at the Feed Mill on August 3, 7:30 am. If you have not attended in a while, or know someone who might enjoy attending, please consider coming. It is a great opportunity to enjoy some fellowship time with other members and to catch up with what is going on in their lives.

Tree Planting
