Erik serves alongside his wife, Leah, as the Director of Youth Ministry where they are dedicated to supporting students in fifth grade through young adults. Erik and Leah are passionate about partnering with families to help instill a genuine love for Jesus in the hearts of middle school and high school youth and to encourage, guide, and inspire Hope’s youth to develop a personal relationship with Christ.

Erik and Leah work closely with Pastor Matt, church staff, and faithful volunteers to create opportunities for youth to grow, learn, and live out their faith.  They aim to create a welcoming environment where youth have opportunities to engage in fellowship with one another, serve the greater community, spend time in nature, and rejoice in the Lord!

Erik grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  After spending some time in South Dakota, Erik and Leah moved to Jordan in 2017.  They have a daughter, Rory, and a son, JP.  They enjoy running around watching their children in their various sports activities.  As a family they love being active outdoors, hiking in the mountains, and biking.  Erik also works at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and loves being outdoors, puzzles, and fly fishing.
